I totally agree with Jim — yesterday’s ride was a huge success! I cannot say thank you enough to the Blue Knights who accompanied us. I think y’all are very brave souls to ride with so many new riders in our first big group ride!
Axel loves maps! He sent me a link of our original planned trip which I added to the previous post. Then, he sends me a map of the ride that we actually took — or at least most of us did, I think. We had to cut out a little early from US 1 and came home through Franklinton/Creedmoor.

A very special thanks to Stefan who rode Michelle around to take a lot of action pictures. I seriously want to know what kind of camera she has and how in the world she took pictures of us while going 65MPH! They ended up with over 200 pictures which you can see in a photo album they created online. Stefan shared that the uploaded images are lower resolution than what he has on his camera. If you see a picture of you that you would like to get a high resolution copy of, email me at lisab (at) trianglebiker (dot) com and I’ll put you in touch with Stefan directly. It’s going to take me a little time to go through all the wonderful pictures there and actually put them on this site! Anything to get my picture from coming up so many times
Also, Tim and Faye who joined our ride on the other side of Oxford (if I remember correctly) sent me some pictures. I’ll be adding a Photo Gallery here and getting those pictures up as well.
Video or additional pictures: If anyone has video or additional pictures you’d like to share with the group, please email me. Video will most likely be too large to send through email, but I can give you some information to use so we can get it up on the site.
This website: Thank you so much for the kind words about this website. Don’t forget to sign up for the announcements list so AOL can stop fussing at Jim when he sends emails out! If you have any suggestions about what you’d like to see on this site, please email them to me. I’m pretty much winging it here
so any input would be greatly welcome!
Thanks again to Jim and the Blue Knights for putting together this ride for us. It was the first we’d ever been on and it was so much fun! I don’t know that I can wait another year before we do it again — so let’s see if we can get some more Triangle Biker rides going!
Ride your ride,

The First Annual Triangle Bikers Reunion Ride was a huge success!! I hope everyone made it home safely since everybody went their own way in Wake Forest. Thanks again to Lisa for putting this site together. And a huge, huge, huge, thanks to the Blue Knights that helped us out today.
I’m proud to announce that we had 40 bikes and 50 people on our maiden ride! Pics will be coming soon (sorry Lisa, you’ve got a lot of work ahead of you, now) and maybe a video or two.
A total of $180 was donated to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and so our first donation will be an even $200. Thanks again for helping us support such a great cause.
Send in your responses and let everyone know what you thought about the ride. I know some improvements could be made, but this was really typical. Especially the part where a few in the middle pulled off to go a different direction and so the rest of the group followed them. That kind of thing happens all the time when rides are ending, so don’t get discouraged about that. One of those “Ride Your Ride” things.
Thanks again, Jim

OKAY, no need to wait any longer. Saturday is a wash out, but Sunday looks great, so Sunday it is. We’re still leaving from Shelton’s at 10:00am. The route is as follows: Muldee street, right on Cheek Rd., fork left on Stool Tree (which becomes Munns Rd.) up to Hwy 15. We’ll stop to make sure we’re all still together on the far side of Oxford, then continue all the way to Clarksville. We are eating at the Lamplighter Restaurant which is on the right just before you cross the bridge.

Axel sent me this link to Google Maps of the route. I think it’s pretty close to what Jim plans on riding. If you are not sure where Shelton’s is, click this link to get directions to Shelton’s from Google Maps.

For the moment, the reunion ride is scheduled for this Saturday, October 25. We plan to leave Shelton’s by about 10:00am so be gassed up when you get there. The weather is questionable so I’ll let everyone know on Friday if it is changed to the rain date of Sunday 10/26 or if we have to cancel it.
Please feel free to bring as many friends as you’d like. We are riding about 54 miles to the LampLighter Restaurant in Clarksville, VA on Kerr Lake. I rode the route last week and it should be a beautiful trip.
Check back for an update! Ride safe and keep it shiny side up!

I’d like to welcome you to this new site. I’m still in the process of setting things up. If you have any suggestions, comments or criticisms, please feel free to shoot me an email at lisab [at] trianglebiker [dot] com. I took the Basic Safety Rider Course at Durham Tech in March 2008. Jim ‘Ape’ Anderson was one of my instructors who spent practically the whole weekend reminding me to hold my knees in.
Anyway, as you probably know, Jim tries to keep up with all his students and frequently sends out emails with information on new rides and such. I’ve convinced him to help me setup this site so we can easily share information with all those who are interested without missing any emails. Please feel free to share this site with all your riding buddies!
